What information is used and where is it kept?

If your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google backup) is on, app data may be included in it. Those backups follow Apple's or Google's terms.
Which permissions do we ask for?
We ask for notifications on first launch and for everything else only when you use the related feature, through your phone's own permission prompt. You can withdraw any permission in your phone's settings.

Purchases
Premium purchases and subscriptions are made through the App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google processes the payment. Your card details never reach us. To confirm a purchase is valid, the store gives the app a purchase record. Purchases are validated with RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA); for this, an anonymous device-specific ID and the purchase record (product, date, store country) are sent to that service. Your name, email and card details are never sent. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google account settings.
Third parties and sharing
We use no ad networks, analytics tools or data buyers. When you share a card or message, it goes to the app you choose (WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS and so on) at your request, and that app's own privacy policy applies.
Backups
The app keeps an automatic backup of what you enter in its own folder on your phone (the latest backup plus a daily copy for the last 7 days). These may be included in your phone's iCloud or Google backup and are never sent to us. "Reset data" deletes them all.
A backup file you create with "Back up and restore" is never sent to us either. You decide where to save it (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email).
Deleting your data
Profile › Privacy › "Delete all my data" removes everything in one tap. Uninstalling the app also deletes its data from your phone. Entries you added to your phone's calendar must be deleted in the calendar app.
Children
What Day Is It? is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698, Article 11) you may ask whether your data is processed, request information, learn the purpose, know who it is shared with, ask for correction or deletion, object, and claim compensation for damage. Data stored on your phone is not held by us, so you can correct or delete it directly in the app. For anything else, write to gunlerdenne.app@gmail.com. We answer free of charge within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page. Significant changes to how data is handled will also be announced in the app.
